I remember it was us germans writing the proposal for small and big groups. We didn't even asked back a native english speaker for proper wording. Nevertheless we order t-shirts in small, medium and large not small, medium and big. This is a more literal discussion to rename big groups to large groups.

Can the native speakers enlighten us?

I would use Small and Large. Big seems weird from a native speaker point of view.

I agree Large is better than Big.
